NextGen at Santa Rosa Airport

Calif. airport adds NextGen landing procedure
Charles M. Schulz-Sonoma County Airport in California's mountainous wine region is often covered in fog from the Pacific Ocean. The airport is in the process of adding a NextGen landing approach, allowing pilots to land even when the runway is covered in fog. Using GPS technology, pilots can descend to 455 feet using their instruments before they have to have a visual of the runway. General Aviation News
