Summer Activities

Summer Activities at the Titan Missle Museum

Science Saturdays: 
Children can learn how to build and fly seltzer and balloon rockets that they take home with them on special Science Saturdays at the Titan Missile Museum, 1580 W. Duval Mine Road in Sahuarita/Green Valley, on July 25 and August 29. Sessions run from 9:00 am to 10:30 am; 11:00 am to 12:30 pm; and 1:30 pm to 3:00 pm. These educational and fun activities are free with paid admission to the museum. Children must be at least eight years old and be accompanied by an adult. Reservations are required and can be made by calling 520-625-7736 or emailing info@titanmissilemuseum.org   

Moonlight MADness is coming back to the Titan Missile Museum, 1580 W. Duval Mine Road in Sahuarita. The museum will stay open late one Saturday night per month. General admission for adults during Moonlight MADness will be $7. Kids 12 and under will be admitted free. In addition to touring the museum in the cooler evening hours, special activities for kids of all ages will be offered by the museum’s MAD scientists, including launching seltzer rockets, rides on the gyro chair, space food tasting, and taking the astronaut test.

Moonlight MADness will be Saturdays, August 8 and September 12 from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. The last tour begins at 8 p.m., and reservations are recommended. For more information or to make a reservation, call 520-625-7736 or email  info@titanmissilemuseum.org.

Science Sundays:  Children can learn how to build and fly seltzer and balloon rockets that they take home with them on special Science Sundays at the Pima Air and Space Museum, 6000 E. Valencia Road, Tucson, on July 26 and August 30. Sessions run from 11:00 AM – 12:30 PM; 1:00 PM – 2:30 PM; and 3:00 PM – 4:30 PM.  These educational and fun activities are free with paid admission to the museum. Children must be at least eight years old and be accompanied by an adult. Reservations are required and can be made by calling Mina Stafford at 520-618-4819 or emailing mstafford@pimaair.org.
Night Wings at the Pima Air and Space Museum:
 The Pima Air and Space Museum will stay open late one Saturday night per month to allow visitors to tour the Spirit of Freedom Hangar, and Hangars 1, 3 and 4. General admission for adults during Night Wings will be $10.00. Kids 12 and under will be admitted free. In addition to touring the museum in the cooler evening hours, special activities for kids of all ages will be offered by the museum’s Education Docents, including, space food tasting, taking the astronaut test, building Balloon Jets and more!

Night Wings will be Saturdays July 25 and August 29, from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM (last admission is at 8:00 PM).  The Pima Air and Space Museum is located at 6000 E. Valencia Road, Tucson.  For more information, call Mina Stafford at 520-618-4819 or emailing mstafford@pimaair.org.
