Announces New Berger Youth Exploration Center

 

WHEN: Monday Jan. 30, 2012 -  11 AM

 

WHERE:  745 N. Gene Autry Trail, Palm Springs

 

WHAT:  -- New Interactive Exhibits, underwritten by the                            

                H. N. & Frances C. Berger Foundation:

·       Virtual Radio Room, complete with vintage WWII radio console, microphone, headphones and ability to talk with the nearby Control Tower and Mohawk Simulator; will be able to hear vintage audio from a B-17 cockpit.

·       Control Tower, complete with vintage WWII control console, microphone, headphones and ability to communicate with the nearby Radio Room and the Mohawk Simulator; will also be able to listen to the Palm Springs International Airport’s Control Tower;

·       Gravity Wheel -- interactive display demonstrating the effect of gravity from an airplane

·       English-Spanish interactive kiosk to demonstrate the key elements of why planes can fly

·       Vista Del Monte Elementary School - 2nd graders (ages 7 and 8)

·       Palm Springs Air Museum representatives
